My time at field school (primarily in Boulder, UT)

MAKING IT TO UTAH
Dispersed Camping
I first flew to Lincoln Nebraska to begin my field school. We ended up having to take a detour from Wyoming to drive out to Boulder due to snow resulting in a rockfall in Colorado. Although the detour added time to the already-lengthy drive, the views were very neat.
THE SITE
The site that we excavated was on private land; we were given permission to work on the land by the owner - the excavation uncovered a variety of artifacts and tools used by Indigenous American peoples during the Archaic Period as well as later on. Out of respect for privacy and not disclosing exact locations, the images in this section are photos that I took in the evenings after working. It was amazing to be working with views like these in the background.
ADDITIONAL ARCHAEOLOGY AND PLACES
While learning and excavating during the field school, the class also had the opportunity to travel around the four corners region. I love the American Southwest, and I was thrilled to be able to snap a few pictures when we would go on field trips to other nearby areas. The images directly below were taken at Hell's Backbone, Escalante. The images below those are from various locations, such as Betatakin, Navajo National Monument, on Navajo Nation land.
